Metroffice completes building structure and progresses towards Q2 2016 launch15.02.2016 | Romania
IMMOFINANZ has completed the structural works for the first section of Metroffice, its newest office development project in the Dimitrie Pompeiu area. With an investment value of approximately EUR 34 million, the first of three buildings will provide nearly 20,000 sqm of rentable space and is set to welcome tenants in the second quarter of 2016.
The construction will have six floors (ground floor + mezzanine + 4 upper floors) with rentable areas ranging up to 3,500 sqm per floor and a flexible design that allows for individual and open offices. The general contractor for the Metroffice project is PORR Construct.
“Office development is a core part of our business and, with flagship projects such as Metroffice, we showcase our new <<Space to Succeed>> motto. This is the ultimate flexible property, with tailored spaces and a superior quality level, addressing and surpassing what tenants look for in an office space”, said Christian Traunfellner, Head of Office at IMMOFINANZ.
“With a top location in northern Bucharest and great underground, tram and bus connections, we believe Metroffice will take office standards in Bucharest to a new level”, said Sorin Visoianu, IMMOFINANZ’s Country Manager Office & Logistics for Romania and Bulgaria. “Metroffice is just the first step in the area’s transformation into an innovative city district with office, retail, leisure and residential spaces,” he added.
When completed, Metroffice will provide work spaces for about 5,000 employees. This is the largest of the three Metroffice buildings and involved an investment of EUR 34 million.
Furthermore, preparations are nearing completion for a dedicated showroom at the project location. This new facility will offer an exclusive bird’s-eye view of the future office spaces, allowing potential tenants an actual glimpse of how their Metroffice headquarters will look. Moreover, with the completion of the first building structure, a new project website has been launched - www.metroffice.ro - together with a dedicated project brochure.
